Hi Mama! Happy
Mother’s Day!
You’re
probably reading this during a time past Mother’s Day here in the Philippines.
But say what, it’s still Mother’s day in the other parts of the world. Besides,
a day is actually not enough to express how thankful we are to you. Our saying
thank you is a continuous process. We say it not only on Mother’s day, but
every time we feel blessed to have you as our Mama.
Other people
may be out of words to say how thankful they are to their mothers. Speechless,
they say. The otherwise is the case for me. Well, perhaps I come to the point
of being speechless too, but it only is because it would take more than a
thousand words to express how happy and grateful I am for you. You may not be
the perfect Mom, but you are the Mom rightfully given by the Lord to me because
we both fit for each other.
Thank you
for being a mother, Mama. Despite the occasional ‘sagutans’. Haha. Really
seldom, they are. And they don’t grow big, because like Papa, I don’t speak. Haha.
But I tend to forget about them because we have better memories than bad.
Thank you
for all the happy moments. Your baking make us all happy.
Thank you
for the gift of cooking. Now, Megs and I beat you at that! Haha. Well, you
happen to admit it yourself so there is no arguing to this. But really, thank
you for the gift of food.
Thank you
for the values – for the principles of honesty, generosity and sacrifice. I may
happen to still fail at them sometimes but I believe I fair well compared to
the other kiddos out there. Haha.
Thank you
for the gift of intelligence. I seldom admit that I am intelligent (because I
don’t really enjoy bragging about it), but your genes and Papa’s are something
I am thankful for. I hope you also gave me the gift of height though. Haha.
Kidding!
Thank you
for the gift of faith, for sharing me your love for God that I may learn to
love him too.
I seldom say
this Mama, but I really thank you and love you.
